Health Service (AHS) has been awarded a seal of approval for the
care given to patients.
Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) endorsed the
standard of care given to patients by awarding the AHS accreditation
through the Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program.
The certificate of accreditation was presented by East Metropolitan
Health Authority chairman Bryant Stokes. AHS general manager Helen
Morton said the accreditation recognised the quality of care by the
gaining ACHS accreditation, we have demonstrated to our patients
that we are committed to continuing quality improvement," she
said. "(Patients) have the assurance that we have complied with
the ex- acting standards laid down by the ACHS." Professor Stokes said the fact that AHS achieved
ACHS accreditation while under- taking the $60 million construction
\ was "a compliment
to everyone associated with (the AHS)".
